Sad News this week (8th May 2025): Firstly Peter Hallowes is currently in Dorchester Hospital recovering from a hip replacement after a tumble on his electric scooter. He will likely be there for a a week or more and would welcome vistiors or calls if you have his mobile number.
Secondly, Long time member Dave Joyce died a few days ago. His funeral will be held at the Sedgemoor Crematorium, Red Lane, Stretcholt, Bridgwater TA6 4SR at 3pm on Thursday 22nd May 2025. Bette will be taking cards for both for members to sign at the meeting at Silton on Monday 12th May.
Welcome to the Wessex Veteran and Vintage Section website. We are a non-territorial, special interest section of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club concentrating primarily on pre-1930 bikes. We meet regularly at the Village Hall, Church Road, Silton Nr Gillingham SP8 5PR. Meetings are normally held on the second Monday of each month starting at 2pm and attract members from all over the South West . However, it's best to check the Latest News in case there are any special activities meaning the start time has to been changed. We also organise runs and other events during the year targeted at Veteran and Vintage bikes and 3-wheelers. These are listed under Events where you will also find the section calendar for download.
